why did i create this website?

i did not create this website with the intention to be seen by strangers. it is mainly just for me, with the purpose of giving me a creative outlet.

like many other website owners on neocities, i replaced social media with creating my own corner of the internet. i ditched social media some time ago, as i am against the algorithmic nature that is now dominating these platforms. to be honest, i was just tired of being addicted to apps made by billionaires.

the issue is that instagram allowed me to be creative with my photography and i enjoyed some parts of it. in the end i decided it wasn't worth it, so i needed a new outlet.

what is this website about?

i originally planned for this website to be exclusively a photography portfolio. photography is my main hobby, so i wanted to create a place where my pics could live. i was sad that my images were sitting on my hard drive.

but... after browsing some websites on neocities i felt the urge to experiment and express myself more through this website

so this website will feature anything i find interesting, whether i am the one who made it or not

media consumption

when it comes to consuming content, my favorite medium is film, but lately i've been trying to make reading a habit. my favorite movie genres are horror and coming of age.
